Global streetwear market space QOPPD offers fashion enthusiasts the chance to buy and sell trainers at the touch of a button. While they had achieved strong traction on social media, they lacked a brand presence. Blue Digital suggested a combination of web design and brand development to take them to the next level.
How we made a difference
Communicating a niche brand
QOPPD were in a unique position for their industry – offering both dealers and collectors the chance to interact over one platform. To highlight this unique selling point, we devised a simplistic brand with a loose “shoelace” as the central focus. This shoelace would represent the product movement process throughout QOPPD, giving sellers and consumers assurance with a fluid transaction.
This simplistic branding would also have an impact on web design. QOPPD knew they needed to meet a younger market, so we proposed a cross-channel strategy that would incorporate both mobile apps and web. We applied consistent design principles across both the website and app, offering a mobile-first experience on all platforms. The bold designs would also be used on QOPPD’s social profiles.
Developing a fluid transaction experience
With this cross-channel strategy, we knew we would have to integrate the app, website and social platforms. We connected all three in an intuitive CRM system, offering QOPPD full visibility of their inventories and distribution processes. The site is also built in WordPress, offering a fully scalable platform for when QOPPD take the next steps.
Partnering with web development for organic success
It was imperative not to overlook SEO principles in the web development stage. We partnered with the development team to fully optimise the new site, adding page titles, meta descriptions, alt texts and canonical tagging.
We became a long-term marketing partner and proposed an ongoing content strategy. This would marry up with QOPPD’s social strategy and their organic efforts, while improving the user experience.
The result
QOPPD were able to meet their young demographic’s needs with a simplistic, intuitive mobile app. With full selling, browsing and buying functionality, the app streamlined user journeys and increased conversions. Meanwhile, it complemented a bespoke WordPress site that would further cement the QOPPD brand. The company continue to make waves in organic results and offer a truly fluid user experience.
